It is recommended for use for purification of tap water of moderate or increased hardness. It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, intended for use in popular east european Ecosoft systems and other household three-stage installations designed for 10"x2.5" cartridge filter elements. The CMV3ECO cartridge set includes three filters: Ecosoft PP5-B CPV25105BECO, Ecosoft ECOMIX D37 CRV372510ECO and Ecosoft CTO10 CHVCB2510ECO. The PP5-B filter element is made of sufficiently thick porous-foamed polypropylene, which effectively retains mechanical impurities (corrosion products of steel pipes, sand, silt and other suspended particles). The volume of the second cartridge (Ecosoft ECOMIX...D37) is filled with a mixture of granular activated carbon and ion exchange resin. This combination captures most of the active chlorine compounds, heavy metal ions and various organic substances. Also, the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water is significantly reduced, which significantly reduces the formation of scale in teapots, coffee makers, pots and has a positive effect on the taste of brewed tea and coffee. The third cartridge (Ecosoft CTO10) is similar in design to the second, but filled with pressed (briquetted) activated carbon, which finally neutralizes tastes and odours. |
