Quite satisfied :)

The grind is good.
Quite large - comfortable to hold in your hands :) The design is attractive. Large grinding container that can be removed for cleaning.
I don’t know if this is the case for everyone, but in my coffee grinder the pressure on the lid is a little tight to confuse the grinding process.

If you grind coffee for a family of 5, this is your option; if not, then take a look.

I was swayed by the brand and the impressive size (it takes up a third of the windowsill). It would have been better if I had bought 2 simple coffee grinders from BOSCH
Almost none.
Removable bowl and brush for complete bowl cleaning, massive screws.
There is no separate power button; in this model, it is built into the lid.
After a week, the power lid became very tight.
It grinds for a long time, not intended for the average single consumer because the bowl is large and you have to add more beans than needed.
Price - high price.
The coupling between the motor and the steel screws is plastic.

don't take it!

the model is beautiful, in theory it’s convenient that the glass can be removed
the coffee grinder is poor - one day it grinds finely and thinly, just as I need, but the next day, it produces huge chunks and does not grind into a fine powder! I waited half an hour and ground again with no result... it still produced chunks. After a couple of days, it worked perfectly again, but the next day, poorly. We have sent it for appraisal twice already - they say it grinds well there, but at home, it performs poorly. The saga with the store continues, I want to get my money back.
Another drawback: the ground coffee spills everywhere - from under the lid
- when you remove the removable cup, coffee particles are found under this cup
- they get clogged in the lower parts of the cup
And another drawback: you have to press the button with all your might - otherwise, it won't turn on.
And now we bought a small compact Bosch - couldn't be happier!

Ergonomics and style

In addition to coffee machines and coffee makers, the assortment of the Italian company De'Longhi also includes devices for grinding beans. The junior representative of the line of knife coffee grinders is the KG 40 device.

Like the older brother De'Longhi KG 49, the "fortieth" model is made of black matte plastic and has an hourglass shape. The walls of the bowl and the lid are transparent, which allows you to control the degree of grinding. On the bottom, in addition to the rubberized non-slip base, there is a compartment for winding the mains cable.

For 12 cups at a time

De'Longhi KG 40 has a Push to grind system, which involves turning on the coffee grinder by pressing on the closed lid. 30 to 90 grams of beans can be placed in a container with a stainless steel knife (from 3 to 4 to 12 cups of coffee). But with a smaller volume, the grinding quality deteriorates significantly, which is associated with the high location of the blades in the bowl. In addition, the solid capacity of the coffee grinder is reflected in the overall dimensions, which should be taken into account when choosing it.

Thanks to the 170 W motor, the grinding process is fast, the housing does not get very hot, and the grinding is characterized by a high degree of uniformity. The size of the fractions depends on the duration of the device. You can get both a fairly coarse grind, for example, for drip coffee makers, and a fine “to the dust” — for the Turks.

Ease of use

The bowl of the De'Longhi KG 40 is removable, which simplifies maintenance, including the possibility of washing it under water. The coffee grinder comes with a dry cleaning brush. So that it is not lost, a compartment for storing it is provided in the upper part of the case, but with this arrangement, the device becomes a couple of centimeters higher.

According to users, due to the non-hermetic fit of the lid to the base, after grinding, coffee dust invariably wakes up on the table, which can be considered a shortcoming of the model. Otherwise, De'Longhi KG 40 due to its large capacity and high grinding quality can be recommended to those who drink coffee often and in large quantities.
