A high-quality model with high-resolution video recording - up to 2592x1944 pixels at 30 fps. “Under the hood” the recorder has a 5-megapixel Sony IMX335 matrix, the image processing from it is controlled by the SigmaStar 8629Q video chip. The lens of the device provides a 140-degree view, which creates a good visibility of the road situation. The tilt angle of the lens is up to 40°.

The model has a built-in accelerometer, which is necessary to automatically save the video to a separate folder in case of traffic accidents. An audio track is written in parallel with the video sequence. DDPai Z40 was equipped with a 2-inch screen to visualize the settings and view the footage on the spot. The model also has a Wi-Fi wireless adapter for interacting with the recorder from a smartphone or tablet. To work, the DVR requires constant power from the cigarette lighter socket through the onboard USB type C connector. The model recognizes microSD memory cards up to 128 GB.
