Stylish accessory

DALI Katch is first and foremost a stylish accessory that flirts with a retro theme, but at the same time looks modern. Outwardly, it resembles a miniature clutch, the front side of which is covered by a protective grille with an unusual moire pattern. Points are added by a nice leather strap at the end of the speaker and a pleasant-to-touch velvety suede case.

Appearances can be deceiving

Appearance is not the only advantage of the DALI Katch. Although the speaker is not too loud, it sounds quite serious: the high frequencies are ringing, but without sand, the “middle” is expressive, and the bass is surprisingly clear and elastic.

To expand the musical potential, the developers have created several sound profiles for Catch. The first is called Clear, and as its name suggests, it neutrally reproduces any musical genre. Warm mode comes in handy when your music needs a little bass and punch.

If we evaluate only the sound quality, then the DALI Katch at least does not lag behind middle-class stationary acoustics, but is inferior to it in terms of volume reserve. Don't get me wrong, according to the passport, Katch has 50 W of power and it really knows how to surprise with sound. But it is unlikely that it will be possible to replace a stationary Hi-Fi system with its help.

The built-in battery holds a charge for almost a day

In terms of functionality, the DALI Katch is in perfect order. The speaker works via Bluetooth and supports the AptX codec for Hi-Res audio transmission. There is NFC, an equalizer with ready-made presets, and the ability to combine several Katch into one stereo system using Bluetooth.

The built-in 2600 mAh battery powers not only the speaker itself, but can also charge a dead smartphone using a USB output. True, if the battery itself lasts for about a day, then the smartphone will not even last until it is fully charged.

All this costs a little more than $300, which indicates that it is aimed primarily at fashionistas.
