Every little thing under control

In the summer of 2015, Corsair expanded its already large lineup of high-efficiency power supplies with an update to its popular RM power supply line. The Corsair RMi new product uses high-quality Japanese capacitors and an unusual Corsair Link software has appeared, which allows you to control the voltage and currents on individual lines, determine the power consumption, adjust the speed of the cooler and, in general, evaluate the overall efficiency of the power supply. In principle, it is similar to the motherboard configuration and monitoring software, with the only difference that the power supply must be connected to the PC using an additional USB cable.

Optimal 80+ Gold

Thanks to CWT's advanced hardware platform, the power supply delivers excellent 80+ Gold efficiency (91% efficiency at 50% load) and can deliver 100% power on the +12V line. The device is cooled by a controlled 140 mm fan with durable hydrodynamic bearings. In tests, it performs even better than expected, since at a rated power of 650 W it coped with overloads up to 730 W without problems, while ensuring minimal output voltage fluctuations. I especially liked the state of the 12-volt line: no drawdowns, regardless of power consumption, and the ripple level is 2-3 times lower than normal.

Among other advantages, we note the high load capacity of the +12V channel, the presence of all types of protection, a modular structure and a hybrid cooling system that allows you to switch coolers from normal to silent mode. Together with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty, this makes the Corsair RMx a reliable base for a powerful workstation or gaming machine with a couple of video cards and serious overclocking.
