- the play arch doesn’t lock in place at all; when the baby pulls a toy, it tilts toward them along with the toy — we had to tie it to the footrest with a little string (doesn’t always help either, depends how hard they pull) - looks a bit bulkier than the Polly model; - not convenient to fold (it’s on the heavy side and you definitely need two hands and some muscle; with the Polly it felt a bit easier); - heavy to move around the room, let alone around the whole apartment; again, the Polly just seems lighter to me, - pretty heavy to take apart to bring along — you have to detach those 2 lower bars by pressing teeny-tiny metal buttons on both sides at the same time; could’ve been simpler, but at least the little one 100% won’t manage that :) - the infant insert — a lifesaver in the kitchen for moms; - more than just the Polly model — with a larger tray (we’ve got a whole zoo on it — entertainment during meals, plus the food itself), - stable — you could practically jump on it, - safe for the baby IF YOU BUCKLE THEM IN: won’t slip out, won’t tip over, - leg divider on the tray, the little one learns to climb in by themselves + it’s long enough to keep their legs always separated |
The price is high, but after 2 years of use it’s really like new—just wash everything and pass it on to the next generation to use. The high chair is very practical; without it, it would be hard with a baby, but this way they’re always right behind you in the chair, following you around, watching you cook, clean, and so on. you just can’t manage without a thing like this. We only bought it in the 9th month when the baby had already grown a bit, and it’s really worth the money. Absolutely everything on the high chair adjusts; you can set it up for any child. The best part is that when the baby falls asleep while eating—happens a lot for us—you can quietly turn the seat into a bassinet and they can nap there comfortably, and the tray comes off easily so nothing gets in the way. We often take it with us if we’re going away for a couple of days to visit friends or to the seaside; it’s very compact when folded, fits in the car easily, and thanks to all the adjustments you can set it up however you like anywhere—so when you’re eating somewhere, the baby can sit with you at the same table. it’s not convenient to wash the tray. The top part does come off and cleans easily, but all those mechanisms that adjust the height and so on keep getting clogged with food, so I have to rinse them with the shower and then wipe everything down. Another downside I read in the review above is the straps that hold the baby — they’re not super-duper awesome, of course, but they’re not as awful as described above. It feels like they weren’t describing a high chair but a tricycle. |
Hello! I wanted to share that our family got a Chicco Polly Magic high chair. This chair is versatile because it comes with inserts for children of different ages. They’re easy to remove for cleaning. For the tiniest babies, there’s a play bar with a set of toys included. The chair has an age-adjustable safety harness system that secures your child really well. The straps are easy to remove and wash. There’s also a tray made of two parts: the top is for meals, with a cup recess and high-quality, non-slip plastic; the bottom is for development activities (drawing, modeling with clay) and has a stopper underneath to prevent the child from sliding down. The chair has a footrest with 2 height settings and 3 positions to match your child’s growth. On the back leg, there’s a handy mount to store the tray when you don’t need it. Under the seat, there’s a convenient basket for small items. The chair is mobile, with wheels on the back legs. It folds easily and doesn’t take up much space. I’m very happy with it—it combines comfort and convenience, quality and safety, functionality and thoughtful design! I recommend it to everyone!
