Boiling water in 5 seconds
The model is made in a rectangular plastic case with stainless steel elements, and in fact is a dispenser with a quick heating function. So fast that water boils in 5 seconds. This speed is ensured by the high power of the device — 2.6 kW. In fairness, we note that the water is heated in portions: 100, 200 or 300 mL, less. The total capacity of the thermopot tank is 2.2 liters. It is located in the back of the case made of transparent plastic, due to which the water level is conveniently visible.
Local filtration
The tank itself is made of polypropylene, it is removable, easy to clean, and, moreover, it is equipped with a replaceable filter as a jug, which saves the user from the need for pre-treatment of water.
Touch control
The touch panel with 4 buttons and LCD display is responsible for control. Everything is simple and intuitive. First, using the thermostat button, you select the desired temperature, from 45 to 100º C, then the amount of water, and press the "Start" button. In a matter of seconds, already heated water will pour out of the spout, and if you do not have time to substitute the cup, the drip tray will take it.
Lock function
During heating, the device is blocked from accidental pressing. If desired, it can be blocked and forcibly.
It should be understood that HW 500 does not work in thermos mode, it simply quickly heats a small amount of water to a predetermined temperature, so it can only be called a thermos sweat. Rather, it is an advanced boiler. However, it is quite convenient, although it has a significant drawback compared to classic thermopots — it is useless without being connected to the mains.
Otherwise, Caso HW 500 is an perfect assistant in the kitchen, especially in small coffee houses, whose owners will pay back their cost (250 – 270 USD) rather quickly.
