The Canyon brand wireless gamepad has a quite adequate price tag and at the same time pleases with its appearance and build quality. Thanks to the thoughtful shape and rubberized coating, it fits comfortably in your hand and does not slip during intense gaming battles. In addition to the standard buttons, triggers, D-pads and analogue levers, there is also a Turbo key that allows you not to press the desired button numerous times. This is useful, for example, when shooting or running in some games. In addition, the Canyon CND-GPW6 boasts LED backlit buttons and two built-in vibration motors for tactile feedback. So you will feel every hit, shot and explosion in the game, and the vibration feedback here is quite pleasant. The gamepad works wirelessly with a receiver that provides stable com...munication within a range of up to 10 metres. Unfortunately, there is no built-in battery here — the device is powered by two AA batteries. A couple of batteries are included, but keep in mind that one charge lasts approximately 8 hours of non-stop gaming. The gadget is compatible with PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Android operating system.

Decent value for money

The Canyon CND-GPW6 is a cross-platform wireless gamepad that works with Windows-based computers and laptops, PS3 consoles (note: the latter will need the appropriate “crutches”) and Android smartphones. The gamepad can be connected to the gaming device directly using a USB cable, or via a wireless Bluetooth connection. In the latter case, to power the gamepad, you will need a pair of AA batteries or rechargeable batteries, which last for 8 to 10 hours of operation. Compared to other entry-level wireless gamepads, the Canyon CND-GPW6 highlights the presence of backlighting on the main keys and a pair of vibration motors built into the base to improve tactile communication.

Decent quality

When designing a gamepad, the guys from Canyon managed to get around most of the usual rakes that manufacturers of low-cost controllers step on. In particular, the build quality is excellent here, the gamepad lies confidently in the hands, the buttons clearly work on pressing, the crosspiece confidently fulfills diagonal positions, zero zones were not noticed on the sticks. The material was also well chosen, the top of the gamepad is covered with a soft touch coating, and the bottom at the points of contact with the palms is covered with a rough rubberized material with minimal slip.

Pair of built-in vibration motors and backlight

But I still had to step on some rakes. For starters, the test sample had both sticks slightly unbalanced, and the left one worked a little tighter than the right one. At the same time, the lower triggers emitted a slight creak when pressed. This was not the case with the top ones. Well, the layout here is for an amateur. Most gamers are used to symmetrical Sony DualShock-style gamepads, but here we have asymmetrically placed sticks in the spirit of the Xbox controller with diagonal sticks and perpendicular triggers. Although, this is purely a matter of taste, after getting used to it, many gamers, on the contrary, consider the Xbox Controller schematics to be more successful.
