When finances sing romances, but at the same time you need a functional radio system for sound recording, BOYA brand products come up right here. In particular, the inexpensive BY-WM8 kit from it will fit in well with cameras with interchangeable lenses, most often used for high-quality video recording.
Rich equipment
The advanced BOYA BY-WM8 sound recording system is ready to go right out of the box. Its package includes a receiving device (installed directly on the camera or a nearby tripod), receiver connection cables, two transmitters with tiny lavalier microphones and wind protection for them, and an ergonomic transport case. All sides of the radio system are powered by rechargeable batteries or AA form factor batteries (2 pcs. in each of the devices).
Dual channel system
Wireless communication between the transmitters and the receiver of the set is established via two radio channels: A with frequencies of 576.4-599.9 MHz and B with a frequency plug of 568.6-592.1 MHz. In the absence of serious obstacles on the signal path and the minimum level of interference, high-quality sound transmission is carried out at a distance of up to 100 m. The selected operating channel is displayed on the receiver screen. The display also sets the recording mode to mono or stereo and adjusts the output level. For transmitters, microphone sensitivity can be adjusted (up to -30 dB).
Line inputs
The system receiver has a headphone output for sound recording control. You can also connect second "ears" for the director to it. The transmitters of the set are equipped with line inputs. BOYA BY-WM8 is suitable for recording the sound of musical electric instruments: a transmitter with a micro transmits vocals to the camera, a transmitter without a microphone transmits the sound from a conventional electric guitar. A small flaw in the radio set is the large size of the receiver and transmitters. However, this disadvantage is more than offset by the democratic cost of the radio loop system.
