The Chinese company BOYA has been producing acoustic equipment for several decades, integrating innovative technologies and maintaining a balance of price and quality. The BY-LM20 lavalier microphone is a low-cost model, which is enough for the needs of beginner vloggers and podcast creators.

"Smart" baby

A plastic microphone weighing 17 g is almost not felt on the body, it is easily and securely attached to clothing using a metal clip. Looks compact and neat. The 1.2 m long wire does not constrain and does not get confused. But, if you need a long cable, you can consider the BOYA BY-M1 model.

Sound for five points

Due to the high sensitivity of -30 dB, the microphone "hears" even a weak signal in the range of 35 – 18000 Hz. The sound is clear and loud. A windproof foam rubber filter plays a significant role in this. And it traditionally protects the primer from damage.

In tandem with GoPro

For connection, the BY-LM20 is supplied with a cable with a standard mini jack 3.5 mm plug. The manufacturer also provides an 11 cm mini-USB adapter for connecting to a GoPro camera.

As a result, we have a simple, reliable and generally inexpensive microphone (about $20), perhaps the best for domestic use. But for professional purposes, you will have to consider buttonholes, at least twice as expensive.
