The ActiveWater Plus technology determines the weight of the loaded laundry and selects the optimal amount of water without unnecessary waste. The Bosch WGG 242ZG PL offers 14 washing programs for different types of laundry: children's, sports, denim, cotton, synthetics, etc.

It includes quick and delicate wash modes, an AntiStain program for removing four types of difficult stains (grease, grass, red wine, blood) without using stain removers, and Hygiene Plus with an additional rinse cycle for maximum cleaning. The pause button allows adding or removing items during the wash cycle, but only if the temperature does not exceed 50 °C and the water level is not too high.

The end-of-wash timer allows programming a convenient time for the washing machine to complete the cycle. After more than 20 cycles at temperatures below 40 ℃, the system signals that the machine needs cleaning - a special self-cleaning program is provided for this. Control is managed by a classic rotary selector for program selection and a touch panel with a display that counts down the time until the cycle ends.
