Outdated Product
Compact single-circuit electric boiler for use in closed heating systems with forced circulation of the coolant. The manufacturer is positioned as a product of the middle price category. It can be used as the main source of heat at facilities where electricity is a priority energy carrier. Designed for wall mounting and connection to a single-phase household electrical network with a voltage of 230 V (required cable cross-section 3x4 mm). The electric boiler Bosch Tronic Heat 3500 4 takes up minimal space, is silent and easy to install, which can be carried out directly in residential areas. It can be used to heat small residential, office or commercial premises with a total area of up to 32 m2. It is equipped with a three-speed circulation pump, an expansion tank with a volume of 7 liters...and a durable heating block consisting of three heating elements (1.3 kW each). The microprocessor adaptive control system, using powerful semiconductor switches, continuously modulates the power of each heating element to optimize the thermal regime. The boiler is equipped with a multi-level blocking system that prevents overheating, excessive increase in coolant pressure and disruption of its circulation.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Bosch Tronic Heat 3500 12 is a reliable and efficient electric single-circuit boiler, ideal for heating smaller areas up to 95 m². It features a built-in circulation pump and expansion tank, and its advanced adaptive heater control system automatically adjusts the heating elements for optimal performance, enhancing their lifespan. However, it is entirely dependent on electricity availability, and its modern electronics may be sensitive to voltage instability. Installation requires a separate three-phase cable with a large cross-section. While some users appreciate its German engineering and reliability, others have experienced issues with circuit breakers tripping and the adaptivity not meeting expectations. The display is considered less informative compared to other brands, and accessing certain technical components can be challenging. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a popular choice for those seeking an electric alternative to gas heating.

Cool german electric heating boiler
14 January 2018
Gas heating is now an expensive thing, so I will decide to change my old, failed gas boiler to an electric one. Just using the example of the previous boiler, I was convinced of how important it is to make the right choice and not to strive for cheap models. That is why Bosch was my choice. Already one mention of this company inspires confidence in the reliability of the equipment produced by it.
An electric single-circuit boiler is simple and reliable. This model has a power of 12 kW and is designed for heating not very large areas. It heats 92 square meters for me, and it must be borne in mind that last year I spent a lot of time, effort and money on wall insulation. But now I save on electricity. It already has a built-in circulation pump and expansion tank. And it is also equipped with an advanced adaptive heater control system that automatically adjusts the number and power of the included heating elements depending on the frequency of operation of the room thermostat. In addition, the electronics independently practice the scheme of alternating switching on of the heating elements, which prolongs their service life. The system is really cool, the Germans know a lot about heating systems)
All electric heating is entirely dependent on the availability of electricity. We seem to be stable with this case, but I still had some doubts. Another problem can be the delicate modern electronics of the controller. From the experience of a friend, I know that with the instability of the supply voltage and its strong drawdowns, it is better not to rely on such smart boilers. And yet, be prepared for the fact that you need to supply power to it with a separate three-phase cable of a rather large cross section (8 square millimeters per core).
Not recommended.

I have 12 kW. It's a hassle considering that 16.5 kW is supplied to the house. It's a ridiculous model that doesn't allow limiting the kW load on the heating element, and the "brilliant" solution of having the heating elements work alternately will definitely give you a significant phase imbalance in your network. Of course, you can't turn this off.
Regular boiler.
The circuit breaker keeps tripping because of the boiler.

Does not justify itself

Adaptive only in name. Did not live up to expectations. The decision to make the three-pole circuit breaker technically difficult to access, as well as the temperature limiter button (had to cut a corresponding hole in the protective outer casing), is questionable. Adaptivity doesn't work if the radiators get blocked upon heating, and underfloor heating doesn't handle large heat capacity; the boiler starts switching off the heating elements one by one but fails to prevent overheating, leading the limiter to trip and shut off the internal circuit breaker.

The display is not informative at all, even compared to Protherm. The method of mounting this display is at the level of cheap China.
