It features high quality recording in FullHD (60 fps) and UltraHD (4K, at 30 fps) resolutions. Moreover, not only standard compression is supported by the standard H.264 codec, but also progressive H.265. When using it, the file size of the highest quality 4K video is practically the same as that of the H.264 codec.
The BlackVue DR900S-1CH DVR is equipped with an excellent glass lens with an impressively large field of view (up to 160°), a high-quality optical 8-megapixel CMOS sensor and a HiSilicon HI3559 processor. Large capacity microSD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (up to 128 GB) are supported. The gadget can work in fully automatic mode: there is a shock sensor that includes parking recording, a motion sensor, video protection from overwriting and protection of data on the memory card from damage. Support for GPS and Wi-Fi allows you to register the speed and location of the car with the ability to display on the map. The BlackVue App makes it possible to view camera videos/recordings online and copy them without removing the memory card. Dual Band Wi-Fi
Without changing traditions, the Taiwanese brand sculpted the device in a discreet cylindrical form factor. There is no display on board. In return, the user is invited to manipulate the auto-registrar using a smartphone. Communication BlackVue DR900S-1CH with mobile gadgets is kept on a Wi-Fi network in the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands. A proprietary application provides access to video recording settings, a media library of files, allows you to launch the device remotely and send videos to the "cloud". Interaction of the DVR with cloud services requires an additional Over the Cloud kit, which is not included in the standard package of the model.
"Honest" 4K
In the main module of the device, an advanced 8 MP matrix from Omnivision is installed, in close proximity to which there is a top HiSilicon HI3559 processor. This spark produces an "honest" 4K resolution picture (3840x2160 pixels) with a frame rate of 30 fps. The numbers of passing, oncoming and parked cars in the frame remain well readable from a distance. Moreover, the registrar was “brought up” with support for the H.265 codec, which implies an increase and improvement of the image without compromising the volume of the recording.

Among other "goodies", the DVR has acquired a GPS module for recording the current speed of movement and coordinates, as well as a supercapacitor as an autonomous power source.
