The Black&Decker KW712KA electric planer is a relatively inexpensive, performant household tool. The planing depth can be adjusted from 0.2 to 2 mm (0.2 mm each step). The adjustment itself is very smooth and makes a characteristic click when switching. The planer is able to select a groove for connecting wooden parts up to a maximum of 8 mm deep. The model has a comfortable D-shaped handle, but, unfortunately, it is not rubberized, but simply covered with plastic.

Double-sided knives

Black&Decker KW712KA is equipped with knives sharpened on both sides. When one side becomes dull, the knife simply flips over and operates as before. This relieves the carpenter of the constant sharpening of the working body, as is the case with single-sided knives. The beveling of the edge is carried out using a v-shaped groove at the base of the soleplate of the electric planer. The long cord allows you to work from a household electrical outlet without using an extension cord.

Transport in a case

A nice addition to the electric planer is a dust collector for collecting chips. It provides up to 90% of sawdust collection during planing, but you need to remember to empty it from time to time. The “K” mark in the model name means that the kit includes a plastic case that allows you to conveniently transport the Black&Decker KW712KA electric planer.
