Introduced in 2021, the Beurer humidifier is the winner of several design awards, including the Red Dot. The device belongs to air washes, that is, it will not cause white plaque due to hard water, it will prevent waterlogging and provide additional air purification from dust and other contaminants.

So, Beurer Maremed MK 500, in addition to water filtration, provides a preliminary coarse filter (2 pcs in the delivery set). It is designed to hold pet hair, dirt particles and coarse pollen. Another level of cleaning / refreshing is a UV lamp and an ionization comb. The first performs water sterilization, killing most microbes, and the second is responsible for additional ionization.

Maritime climate in your home

The manufacturer positions its humidifier as a marine air conditioner. Here the possibility of saturating the air not only with moisture, but also with salt microparticles is claimed. For this, a special patented Maremed solution is included in the package. It is recommended to add it together with water in order to first enrich it with minerals, and then spray them, simulating a maritime climate. Note that other saline solutions (other than Maremed) cannot be used according to the instructions.

The Beurer Maremed MK 500 is suitable for rooms up to 50 m², but given the maximum moisture intensity of 330 mL/h, you should not count on a very fast removal of dryness in such an area.

Ease of operation and maintenance

You don’t often have to fill the water tank, because it is designed for 6 liters. And to remove dirt, it is allowed to put it in the dishwasher.

A practical panel with a display will help you manage the air washer. With it, it is easy to choose one of three levels of humidification, set the timer (up to 24 hours), turn on the night mode with muted brightness. There is also an indication of filter contamination and lamp replacement. The resource of these consumables, respectively, is about 2200 and 5000 hours.

The disadvantages of the Beurer Maremed MK 500 are the lack of a humidistat and the high price even by the standards of water humidifiers. But the functions here are exclusive, and for them, usually, you need to pay extra.
