Model overview based on user reviews
The Ballu BFH/C-20 is a compact and efficient fan heater, praised for its phenomenal heating rate, quickly warming up small spaces of around 11 square meters. Users appreciate its ceramic plate heating elements, which reduce unpleasant odors compared to traditional open coiled heaters. The model features a thermostat for maintaining a constant temperature, though some find its logic peculiar as the fan continues to run after the heating element turns off. While the device is compact and easy to move, it has a short electrical cord, necessitating an extension cord. Safety concerns are noted due to its high heat output, making it unsafe to leave unattended. Additionally, the fan mode is considered noisy. Overall, the Ballu BFH/C-20 is a good choice for quick heating despite some minor drawbacks.
Pros
Cons
At work, the heating was again delayed, and since a retired colleague took his oil cooler out of the room in the spring, I had to solve this problem alone. In fact, there are not very many options: an oil heater, a convector, an infrared emitter and a fan heater. I chose a fan heater, as this is the fastest way to catch up with a comfortable temperature. And, compared to other options, it is the most compact and lightweight, which means that it can be quickly transferred from another room, where I sometimes linger for a long time. The heating rate is just phenomenal. In the second half of October, in the mornings, I came to work and found myself in a room with a temperature no higher than +14 degrees. This kid heated it up to +19…+20 in just 30-40 minutes. For comparison, I will say that the previous 2 kW oil heater did the same thing in an hour and a half. The room is small, about 11 square meters, and now it is always warm in it. The air is heated by ceramic plate heating elements. This is much better than open coiled heaters, if only because their surface heats up much less than the surface of thin nichrome wire. And this, in turn, means that the dust that gets on them does not burn out and does not emit unpleasant odors. And this model is equipped with a thermostat that helps maintain a constant temperature. The strange logic of the thermostat, due to which, when the desired temperature is reached, the heating element turns off, but the fan continues to spin. Short electrical cord, which required the use of an extra extension cord. |
A good model, not without flaws. It did not break during use. The model is small in size, compact, and does not take up much space. It heats up quickly, starting to heat up the room in just a couple of minutes. The controls are clear and convenient, rotating knobs are much more convenient than buttons, and there is less chance of breakdown. It gets very hot, I wouldn’t leave it overnight, and in general it’s dangerous to leave it unattended. At least it’s unpleasant to touch; if there is contact with a carpet or curtain, then anything can happen. In ventilation mode it is very noisy, in my opinion louder than a regular fan. |
