Modular design of the convector

One of the interesting solutions on the market of electric heating equipment was the Apollo Transformer convector line from Ballu, which went on sale in 2020. The peculiarity of the promotion of this series is the separate offer of heating modules of different power and control units of different types, so that the consumer can choose for himself what suits him best. Such a reasonable scheme allows you not to overpay for unnecessary options of the finished device assembly or to upgrade an existing convector in accordance with your needs and preferences. The buyer can equip the device with a choice of mechanical, electronic or inverter control unit, or purchase a heating panel of the required power to the existing unit.

Wi-Fi remote control

All versions of control units are able to regulate the temperature within 5 – 35 °C, and more advanced thermostats of the electronic and inverter units are able to maintain thermal conditions with an accuracy of 0.1 °C. Advanced models with electronics and inverter control have a built-in display, timer, weekly heating functions and an open window sensor. And the main advantage of the control unit with inverter technology is economical energy consumption, which reduces electricity consumption by 70%. Additional features and comfort of control can be provided by installing a removable Wi-Fi module that allows you to work with the converter remotely through the proprietary HOMMYN application (the function is only available in combination with an inverter unit).

Durable Hedgehong Heating Element

The basis of the new generation heater Ballu Apollo Transformer BEC/AT-2000 is an ergonomic heating module with a heating element Hedgehong with an average power of 2 kW. The manufacturer claims that the compact heating element has a higher heating rate (by 20%) due to the increased heat transfer surface. The heater operates very quietly and can last up to 25 years. The front panel outlet grilles that have become familiar, typical for classic convectors, are replaced here by the Flow Screen mesh surface with many holes for volumetric distribution (4D) of warm air in the room. The device fully meets the necessary safety requirements: it is protected from overheating, tipping over, as well as the ingress of dust and moisture (IP24). The device comes with a set of fasteners and a wall bracket, and a wheeled chassis for floor installation must be purchased separately. The device is insured against factory defects with a 5-year company warranty.
