BC Rich, although an American company, makes its guitars in Asia. Warlock Metal Master is a Chinese-made model, but this does not detract from its merits, because the guitar is made to last, but at the same time it is sold at an affordable price.

The form

The brand is famous for its heavy style guitars, which, in general, makes it quite clear on the appearance of the instrument. Metal Master belongs to the Warlock series, as evidenced by the original form of its body, which is not similar to any classical type of guitar (except perhaps, remotely to the Explorer) and is an exclusive development of BC Rich. The upper body is decorated with a pattern in the form of bright red flames, quite ominous, as befits a heavy style guitar, and with the equally impressive name Tribal Fire, which from English. translates as "primordial fire". In another version, the tool comes with a pattern in the form of two curved steel blades, which also looks quite impressive. The triumph of pathos is completed by a vulture head with horns.

Content

The body of the guitar is made from a single piece of agathis, which some confuse with mahogany due to similar musical properties, only agathis has a flatter sound and is lighter in weight. In combination with humbuckers, it “pumps” on overdrive (albeit a bit poorly), gives out well-readable solo parts and is legible on a clean sound. A bolt-on 24-fret maple neck with a rosewood fretboard helps him in this.

The mechanics are also quite decent. The bridge is a fixed Tune-O-Matic, so the guitar stays in tune well.

It seems that when thinking about Warlock Metal Master, the guys from BCRich tried to kill two birds with one stone, namely: to create a guitar that at the same time satisfies the canons of both the sound and the external charisma of heavy metal. Well, in our subjective opinion, the appearance was better.
