The American company BC Rich began its activity in 1974 with the repair of Spanish guitars, but soon became a popular manufacturer of its own. BC Rich electric guitars are notable for their non-standard shape and affordable price. The Bich Masterpiece is the perfect choice for the outrageous and expressive rocker.

Dragon's blood

With a Warlock-like body shape, the instrument comes in three shades of red: Primary, Dragon Blood, and Sun Fire. There is also black and Tobacco Sunburst, but they do not look so impressive. Yes, and red suits her more, it looks pretty predatory. Aggressiveness is emphasized by the maple top, and the cutouts in the deck seem to be specially designed to “pump” riffs and “cut off solos”, while putting the guitar on its knee. On the other hand, such a case also has disadvantages. The cover will have to be taken more tightly, and preferably a wardrobe trunk, in order to avoid damage to sharp edges during transportation.

Machine for metal

As for the sound, here it is quite characteristic of the agathis wood in the soundboard, with a departure to the middle. Add here two more branded humbuckers, a bolt-on neck and a fixed bridge with through-string fastening and we get a classic machine for “metal”. By the way, the instrument can be found with both closed and open humbuckers.

BC Rich Bich Masterpiece will definitely appeal to the look. The emphasis here is clearly on this. Otherwise, for its price ($400), the guitar sounds quite low-cost, and is more suitable for beginner rockers.
