In the wake of the success of the 180th model of the OVERMAN series, the Aurora group of companies expanded its product range with two close relatives of the above-mentioned unit: OVERMAN 160 and OVERMAN 200. The last figure in the naming of the residents of the line indicates the maximum welding current, expressed in amperes.

Inductance regulator

The model feels great both in everyday life and in the hands of true welding pros. Its semi-professional status is clearly hinted at by a separate inductance adjustment knob. At the minimum values of this indicator, the “cold” arc (thin bead and deep penetration) is at the disposal of the welder, at the maximum — the “hot” arc (wide and smooth seam with shallow penetration).

Wire welding

Aurora OVERMAN 200 uses electrode wire with a cross section of 0.6 to 1 mm. Arc excitation and weld formation take place in a protective gas environment. However, when using a self-shielded flux-cored wire, you can do without it. A powerful spooler spins the drum with wire at a speed directly proportional to the welding current. The frequency of turning on the device in the "full gas" mode is about 40% (4 minutes of continuous operation from a 10-minute cycle).

Success Secrets

A socket for connecting a carbon dioxide heater and supporting the operation of the device in case of serious voltage drops in the power supply network (up to 120 V) add points to the piggy bank of the model's pluses. At the same time, the guarantee of obtaining a high-quality seam is maintained when the voltage drops to 140 V. To complete the picture, it would not hurt the device to acquire a screen and a switch to MMA manual arc welding mode. But even without this, the device won a lot of fans in all corners of the vast Motherland.
