The Canadian manufacturer of outdoor equipment offers on the market an interesting model of the ArmyTek Wizard v3 XP-L headlamp, made in an “L-shaped” form factor. The device is quite expensive, but the quality of the components supplied from Japan and the USA, as well as the excellent assembly fully meet the price tag set by the manufacturer and a 10-year warranty for the device. The durable black anodized aluminium housing has a high impact resistance, which will not allow the flashlight to break when dropped from a height of 10 metres. And silicone seals that provide tightness (class IP68) make it possible to survive many hours of immersion of the device in a pond to a depth of 10 metres.

Excellent equipment

Despite the pleasant tactile sensations, the body is devoid of embossed knurling, which does not exclude the flashlight from slipping when used manually in wet weather. In the head holder, the body rotates freely, which allows you to fine-tune the angular inclination of the lamp. The model received its own built-in charging, which allows you to restore the battery capacity using a USB cable with a magnetic contact. A special plus to the karma is added by the excellent equipment of the device, which, in addition to the “carcass” and the charging cable, includes a composite forehead strap (2 ribbons), a plastic holder, a carrying clip, 2 sealing rings, a branded Li-ion 18650 battery with a capacity of 3200 mAh and a user manual. TIR optics

A powerful Cree XP-L LED with TIR optics is installed in the head of the flashlight, which has an angular distribution of the central spot / side illumination of 70 ° and 120 °, respectively. To save battery, you can use 2 “firefly” modes 0.4 lm / 100 days and 2.3 lm / 18 days, as well as 3 basic brightness modes — 30 lm / 24 hours, 180 lm / 9 hours and 390 lm / 3.8 hours. During operation with a maximum illumination intensity of 1250 lm (turbo mode), the body of the device heats up quickly, and the battery is discharged within 1.5 hours. The control button of the flashlight has a built-in LED indicator of the battery level, which shows the depletion of the battery in different colours. But the lack of additional modes should be considered a minus of the lighting device.
