The Italian manufacturer of small appliances Ariete offers a whole line of vintage appliances, and one of them is the Ariete Vintage 0156 toaster. Externally, thanks to its shape, switches and indicators of the degree of roasting under glass, it is somewhat reminiscent of an old radio. Anyway, such a device will definitely become a decoration of the kitchen, and thanks to different colours it will fit into any interior. In total, there are three warm, soft shades to choose from: beige Ariete Vintage 0156/03, green Ariete Vintage 0156/04 and blue Ariete Vintage 0156/05. The case is made of durable metal, which, together with the spaciousness, affected the dimensions: such a home assistant weighs more than 2 kg.

Power and capacity

The toaster is designed for the whole family, as it has as many as four toast slots. Moreover, they work in pairs separately from each other: for each pair of compartments — their own control buttons, lifting mechanism and settings. That is, each member of the family will be able to choose the degree of frying to their liking.

A large appliance has high power: this model has 1600 W, so cooking toast for breakfast will not take much time, because every minute is precious in the morning. The auto-centering system will position the slices of bread exactly in the centre so that all sides are evenly toasted. However at first, when the device has not yet warmed up, it is better to choose a higher degree of roasting, and for further portions, lower the temperature.

Functions

Each pair of slots has 6 degrees of toasting, as well as the functions of heating, defrosting bread from the refrigerator and high rise, so as not to burn yourself, taking out small pieces. Additionally, there is a “Stop” button if you suddenly change your mind about preparing a toast or something happened to the device. During operation, the mode buttons light up red.

Since the toaster is double, it has two removable crumb trays at once, which are easy to remove and clean. However something still remains inside, and cleaning such a large and capacious device will take more time and effort.

By the way, Ariete has a whole line of different kitchen devices in vintage style and in the same colours: for example, electric kettles, coffee makers and coffee machines, mixers and blenders. And if you don’t need a large toaster for the whole family, there is a less powerful and cheaper Ariete Vintage 0155 with two toast compartments.
