At the same time, the battery life of the device is claimed at the level of 2 months when reading for 1.5 hours with the backlight turned on. Built-in memory 2 GB is provided, without a card slot — but with unlimited storage in the "cloud". A Wi-Fi module is provided for network access. The set of formats includes AZW, TXT, PRC and MOBI, but DOC and HTM will have to be converted.

Features of "Paperwhite Built-in light" screen:
This e-book model uses a special screen manufacturing technology. The idea is to combine a paper-like eINK screen with a capacitive touchscreen and backlight into one display. In this case, there are three layers: the eINK screen itself is in the bottom layer, the capacitive touchscreen is located above, and above it is a special backlit film. This minimizes loss of contrast, removes the physical control buttons, and provides bright backlighting for reading in dimly lit areas.
