Two layers of the combined Primaloft Silver composition are used as insulation. It combines the virtues of natural down, including lightness (the total weight of the Alexika Platinum Delta Compact sleeping bag is a reasonable 2.4 kg), and synthetics (water resistance). Together with an anatomically cut hood, a thermal collar and an insulating zipper flap, campers can count on not freezing in a cocoon when the air temperature drops to -4 to -10 °C.
