A company with German roots in its lineage, AL-KO offers several types of auger snow blowers for removing snow cover from paths and other perimeters of private homes. The most popular among internal combustion engine solutions is the AL-KO SnowLine 560 model.
Separate Control
The snow blower, equipped with a powerful motor with six "horses" harnessed, does not produce much noise during operation and economically consumes fuel (about 1.6 liters of gasoline per hour). The engine sets the rotation pace of the toothed auger and transmits torque to the wheels, and both actions are carried out separately: auger operation control is placed under the operator's left hand, while movement control is under the right hand. In addition, the snow blower "driver" is provided with a gearbox handle allowing wheel drive speed adjustment thanks to 5 forward gears and 2 reverse speeds.
Long-Distance Throw
When passing through snow obstacles, the bucket pushes snow mass towards the reinforced steel auger with a width of 56 cm and a height of up to 51 cm. Subsequently, snow is thrown through the discharge chute further away — up to a distance of 15 m. This can be useful in cases where the snow blower is planned to be used on large areas, so there is no need to clean the already cleared snow for a second round.
Manual Start
The engine starts with a manual starter: the operator pulls the cord, which turns the shaft and gives the motor the necessary initial impulse. The decompression valve helps simplify the start in significant sub-zero temperatures. On its own, the AL-KO SnowLine 560 can replace a small team of janitors with snow shovels, making it worth paying the most attention to this model.
