Robust and Reliable Electric Saw
With a 2000W motor, the AL-KO EKS 2000/35 saw has a decent power reserve. At least for relatively simple tasks (like cutting trees in the garden or chopping logs and planks into firewood), it's quite difficult to "stall" it. But even if you manage to do so, the thermal protection will instantly activate to prevent the motor from overheating and burning out.
The tool is convenient to use, but slightly heavy (5.8 kg — that's quite a lot for an electric saw, as even among AL-KO gasoline chainsaws there are lighter models). The weight of the device is significant due to the large margin of strength embedded in its design.
Simplicity is Not a Flaw
There is nothing extraordinary or high-tech in the construction of the saw. It's relatively simple (and therefore reliable) equipment. It is equipped with a high-quality bar (length 350 mm) and Oregon chain. The chain brake is, of course, present, but other "bells and whistles," like tool-free tensioning, are completely absent. The chain lubrication is automatic. Oil is used economically, but sometimes too much (since it's impossible to regulate the oil supply, in cold weather, when it thickens and is harder to pump, there may be issues with chain lubrication).
