Copy base for working on a template
Profiling wood, milling edges, grooves, ledges, grooves, chamfering — all this is within the power of the AEG MF1400KE router. A distinctive feature of the router is the presence of a copy base. It allows you to work with copy sleeves of different diameters, which in turn are convenient for milling according to the template. By the way, the kit already comes with 5 such bushings for different cutters (17, 24, 27, 30 and 40 mm). You can adjust the rotational speed using the wheel on the housing in the range from 10,000 to 23,000 rpm. Moreover, thanks to the “soft start” of the device, damage to the working material is excluded.
Excellent dust extraction
The model is additionally equipped with a teardrop-shaped sole. At the end of the sole there is a rubberized handle, holding which, it will be easier for the operator to guide the router along the figured pattern. A good view of the milling line is provided by the backlight, and a transparent protective "curtain" protects the eyes from dust and allows you to see the cutter itself. The dust removal system is very well thought out in the router: three nozzles are included in the kit, which can be connected from below, behind or on the side of the router, depending on the work performed. The router itself and all accessories are placed in a bag that is attached to the product. However, the quality of the bag is rather mediocre and its convenience is very different from plastic cases for such a tool.
Milling at serious depth
Milling depth can be adjusted from 1 to 64 mm, which is a pretty decent value for a plunge router. For the most accurate setting of the cutter immersion, there is a regulator under the depth gauge, by turning which you can lower or raise the limiter (every 90 degrees of rotation raises / lowers by 0.4 mm). The milling cutter has powerful springs installed inside the guides, which can shoot when the device is released. To prevent this from happening, a restrictive pin with a nut is wisely thought out in the design, which can be adjusted exclusively for yourself. Of course, for all this excellent design, the buyer will have to pay a considerable amount.
