Model overview based on user reviews
The Acer TravelMate P2 TMP215-53 is a versatile laptop that offers a range of features suitable for both work and casual use. It boasts a high-quality screen, vibrant and bright, making it ideal for viewing text and videos. The laptop includes a variety of ports, including Type-C, and has a quiet operation with a decent battery life, although some users report it doesn't reach the advertised 12 hours. The keyboard is comfortable and backlit, though the backlight turns off after a few seconds of inactivity. It comes with 32 GB of RAM and a fast SSD, but some users feel the integrated graphics limit its potential for gaming. The build is durable, with a ribbed plastic body and a camera shutter for privacy. Additional features include a fingerprint scanner and the ability to connect multiple monitors. However, the power cable is noted to be thin and fragile. Overall, the laptop is praised for its performance and energy efficiency, making it a solid choice for those needing a reliable work machine.

Robotic thing. For robots, I can do it for you.

ACER TravelMate P2 TMP215-53-561K Shale Black (NX.VPVEU.024) I've got one like this, with 32 gigs of RAM and 512 SSD. I can't stand laptops, never worked with them, but this one was okay. I got it because my desktop requires a lot of energy when the power is off. The body is fine. Keys - good. No additional keys. No multimedia ones. No CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK indication, or anything else - none. Couldn't set the touchpad properly, using a mouse. There's a heck of a lot of ports, including HDMI. Sound through built-in speakers is complete rubbish. Terrible nonsense. But it exists. In headphones (any kind), the sound is superb. I work on minimum power-saving settings; it's enough for browsing, texts, messengers, movies. Nothing lags or freezes. Haven't tried gaming and don't plan to. In the "everything works minimally yet adequately" mode, the battery promises to last another 6 hours at 83 percent charge. That's realistic, that's pretty much how it is. If you max out the settings (screen, sound, etc.), it lasts 4 hours for sure. Conclusion is simple. For its price and specs, it's a decent thing, worth getting if you need to work and not measure frequencies. PS. For those who need to record audio on it - very quiet DAC. Not noisy at all, a huge plus for me. Even two. ) ++ PSS If you need to fiddle in BIOS, press CTRL+S after it loads, and happiness will be yours, I guarantee. )))
+ Energy independence and durability.
+ Keyboard
+ Screen
+ No OS in base.
+ Number of connectors
+ Very quiet DAC. When recording, sound noise is at -50 dB or lower. The sound card is noisier than it. )
- Absence of num lock, caps lock indicators, and so on.

in general, besides everything on the plus side, I also liked: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, fingerprint scanner in the upper left corner of the touchpad. Ability to connect 2 monitors. USB - not 2 as usually installed on these small ones but 3. Power in the upper left corner and all sockets on the left panel. Only on the right side is a single USB port - like for a mouse. It's well thought out, damn it. ) The ability to expand RAM up to 32 gigabytes. The battery is non-removable, inside. Cooling fan almost in the middle, air intake from below, exhaust at the back.
Almost everything.
+ presence of a camera shutter
+ a decent yet economical processor
+ I got an SSD from Samsung (MZVLQ512HBLU) - which is, mind you, NVME that costs 1.5 times more than any other from any other brand.
+ everything in the specifications but this is top. more details in the comments
+ included a metal frame for installing an additional regular 3.5 SSD. And the cable for connecting it to the motherboard. Apparently, there is space since they provided both.
- a pathetic thin power cable from the PSU. I have a thicker cable for my headphones than what they provided with the laptop. It's going to bend and break very quickly. wtf
- the power connector is thin and very fragile. A child will tear it apart quickly for sure

A wonderful laptop, suitable for both home and work.
30 January 2022
TMP215-53-3924. It was purchased for both work and home. It was selected based on the parameters: 15", IPS, from 8GB of RAM, SSD, not Lenovo, without OS, more affordable. This one turned out to be the most optimal and visually appealing. It did not disappoint in terms of tasks: with a few tweaks, I installed Debian (the distribution does not recognize the wi-fi modules, Intel power, and something Realtek, which is fixed by adding the corresponding firmware to the installation flash drive), and everything works perfectly.
- Very bright and vibrant screen, it's a pleasure to watch both text and video. Some photos are just mesmerizing.
- Lightweight.
- Good sound. When watching various clips where speech is important, everything is perfectly audible.
- Quite fast. That is, I didn't run anything computationally heavy, but even with 8 GB of RAM, typical programming tasks are done instantly. Any video works perfectly.
- Quiet and sufficiently clear keyboard.
- The touchpad recognizes gestures with different numbers of fingers, very convenient.
- USB3 port provides power in a turned-off state.
- The description states a maximum operating time of 12 hours. I'm not sure if that's achievable; mine hasn't lasted more than 5 hours so far.
- There's no reaction on the touchpad to a double tap as a left mouse button click; you have to press until it clicks. Not very convenient.
- The keyboard backlight turns off by itself after a few seconds of inactivity. I couldn't find a way to disable this.
