The Acer Aspire Go AG17-31P lineup consists of ultra-budget laptops aimed at users who need a simple and affordable tool for basic tasks: working with documents, studying, watching videos, or web surfing. These devices are powered by Intel Twin Lake processors (either the 4-core N150 or 8-core N355), which provide sufficient performance for everyday use but are not designed for complex calculations or modern games.
The RAM ranges between 8 and 16 GB, and the maximum memory capacity of the built-in SSD storage can reach 1024 GB, although more affordable Aspire Go versions with a 512 GB SSD dominate the market. Traditionally for the series, additional slots for RAM and M.2 are not provided, and the memory configuration is fixed and not subject to self-upgrade, so this aspect should be considered beforehand when purchasing.
All laptops in the series are equipped with 17.3-inch IPS displays with a Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The color gamut is limited to 45% NTSC, so colors appear quite pale, and the maximum brightness rarely exceeds 250 nits, making the display acceptable for indoor use but not very convenient in bright light. Nonetheless, the use of IPS technology ensures good viewing angles compared to TN matrices, which are often found in entry-level laptops. Among the secondary features of these laptops are a wireless controller with Wi-Fi 6, an HDMI 2.1 port for connecting external monitors, Power Delivery support, and a standard webcam with a 1280x720 sensor.
