Aspire 3 A315 is the junior series of laptops in the current lineup of the Taiwanese company Acer. The Aspire 5 and 7 differ from their half-metal counterparts in their all-plastic body. But the plastic is very thick, which results in high structural strength (reduces the risk of mechanical failure of the motherboard and display), but also a lot of weight: 100 – 300 grams heavier than the average fifteen-inch.

Rise of AMD

The Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G configuration includes a brand new 14nm (and then cold) AMD Ryzen 3 2200U processor with high Precision Boost frequency and an updated Radeon 535 discrete graphics card. Intel Hyper-Threading) has integrated Vega 3 graphics. But it only works in non-gaming mode to reduce laptop heat and save battery power. Vega 3 and Radeon 535 cannot be combined into a bundle due to their different architecture (Vega versus GCN).

Compared to the Radeon 530, the older 535 model compares favorably with accelerated GDDR5 memory, which gives about a third more FPS in games. GTA 5 and Fortnite are already playable at 1080p and medium settings. And CSGO, WoT and Dota 2 are at high or at least medium-high. All in all, the Acer Aspire 3 A315-41G is a solidly built laptop based on AMD's new platform for work and study with a flair for gaming. Only a single SO-DIMM slot can be called a minor drawback, which, in the event of an upgrade of RAM, will make the original module unnecessary.
