From the press release:

The set uses a 4-level power saving system with the function of exiting the "sleep" mode without delay. Thanks to the unique "Power Saver" function, the energy-saving mouse lasts up to three times longer than standard wireless mice. In case of low battery, the scroll wheel turns red. A wireless mouse requires an electrical current of 8mA, while conventional optical models require 25mA and a keyboard 1mA.
