Relatively inexpensive, high-quality and fairly fast SSD drive with a capacity of 1 TB. It is part of the MSI Spatium line, which the Taiwanese launched in 2021 and have since heard a lot of praise. In terms of price and performance, Spatium drives are a versatile choice for work and play builds that require high, but not record-breaking data transfer speeds. MSI SPATIUM M450 is made in a compact form factor M.2 2280, so it can be used even in laptops and ultrabooks with thin body.

The main requirement for the device is support for the NVMe 1.4 protocol. The role of the brain is played by the popular mid-level controller Phison E19T with support for the PCI-E 4.0 bus. Micron's 176-layer TLC memory is used as the basis, which is more commonly seen in higher-end drives. The manufacturer claims a linear read speed of 3600 MB/s, while the write speed is limited to 3000 MB/s, which greatly exceeds the capabilities of SATA3 SSDs and approaches the speed of more expensive models with PCI-E 4.0 support. Given the high competition in the low-cost segment, MSI decided to attract a potential buyer with a 5-year warranty and increased rewriting capacity (600 TB for a 1 TB model).
