Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) is available as a standalone product only in China.
The basis of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE was a stripped-down version of the AMD Navi 31 graphics processor. The video card received 5120 stream processors, 64 megabytes of Infinity Cache and a 256-bit memory interface through which the GPU interacts with 16 GB of GDDR6.
The Asus Radeon RX 7900 GRE Dual OC graphics card is part of the AMD RDNA 3 architecture-based GPU series, offering powerful performance and cutting-edge technology for gamers and content creators. Compared to the flagship version of the Radeon RX 7900, this modification with the Golden Rabbit prefix is based on a slightly trimmed version of the flagship Navi 31 GPU with a reduced number of stream processors and a 16 GB memory buffer.
Like its 7000-series brethren, this GPU supports all the latest image and memory enhancers from AMD, including Smart Access Memory, FidelityFX Super Resolution and Fluid Motion Frames. All three technologies can have a hugely beneficial impact on the device's performance, which is especially important if you plan to play Hellblade 2, Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2 and other extremely beautiful games of recent years in 4K resolution.
If we put all these “improvers” aside, the pure performance of the video card in most games will be plus or minus on par with the GeForce RTX 4070 and Radeon RX 7800 XT. Well, the advantage of this modification from Asus is the use of a shortened printed circuit board (length 280 mm, width 2.5 slots), making it easier to install the Asus Radeon RX 7900 GRE Dual OC in a miniature case. Although, to be fair, its dimensions are still superior to most of its fellow Asus Dual family members.
