A pair of Cort Powersound humbuckers produce a rich sound with confident attack and noise resistance, making the Cort KX100 excellent for use with distortion and effect pedals. The basswood body offers moderate weight and balanced tone, providing comfort even during long sessions.
The bolt-on maple neck with jatoba fretboard delivers clear response, and a 15.75" radius with 24 frets is suitable for fast techniques and expressive bends. A fixed bridge with string-through construction enhances sustain and tuning stability. Coil-splitting function expands the sound range, adding lighter "single-coil" shades. Simple controls with one volume knob, one tone knob, and a three-way switch make it easy for beginners to use.
