When we head to the resort, we strap Smith's Level Helmet to our dome every time we click in. This is one of Smith's newer, lighter helmets designed with a hybrid Aerocore construction and honeycomb-s more→haped Koroyd inserts to increase levels of protection while minimizing weight. The hybrid construction combines tough ABS with flyweight in-mold technology for a light, protective fit.

The fit is comfortable and secure thanks to our adjustable Roc Loc 5.5 Mips system that combines fit and positioning adjustments while integrating with Mips technology for an added measure of protecti more→on in the event of an angled impact. The outer Hardbody shell extends to the inside of the helmet, and is molded from a tough polycarbonate that's fused permanently to the EPS foam liner using our In-Mold process to enhance durability and ventilation without excess bulk. The Tectal Race MIPS Helmet has been a favorite of ours for years now, providing us with a comfortable, airy feel on the trail while keeping us protected from the occasional tumble or low-hanging tree more→branch. For the latest version of the Tectal Race, POC phases out its SPIN technology in favor of an integrated MIPS system developed specifically for POC helmets. This sheds some weight while still offering protection against rotational impact forces.
