Featuring a low-profile in-mold design, the Code doesn't skimp on durability while creating a lightweight product. The polycarbonate shell and EPS liner bring us a high level of protection, with an in more→corporated Koroyd material that aids in impact absorption as well as airflow. The MIPS System uses slip-plane technology, reducing rotational force common in angular impacts, while tons of ventilation regulates airflow to keep us from overheating.
Smith makes their debut into the world of ultra-light full-face helmets with the all-new Mainline MIPS. Featuring extensive ventilation and lightweight yet tough construction, this helmet offers the a more→iry feel of a half-shell while providing downhill-certified coverage for a boost of confidence on rowdy trails. Advanced protective features include Smith's unique Koroyd crumple zones that go above and beyond to disperse impact forces, as well as a MIPS protective layer that helps mitigate harmful oblique impacts.
The Smith Mirage MIPS Helmet features all the comfort we need for long days taking laps, with adjustable venting and a lightweight in-mold construction. The Multi-directional Impact Protection System more→(MIPS) helps reduce rotational forces that occur during an oblique impact, and Smith's Aerocore construction combines traditional EPS foam with proprietary Koroyd in order to increase impact resistance and improve airflow. A dial-fit system makes it easy to micro-adjust the fit—even with a gloved hand—while a cozy liner keeps us warm against the howling wind. The snap-in earpieces are audio-compatible, should we desire tunes while we ride, and they can easily be removed when the days are warm.

Sure, the aero helmets of the pro peloton look slick during a time trial, but for the everyday rider, that is a bit much for cruising down city streets. Smith's Signal MIPS Helmet delivers pro-level p more→rotection and features in a package much better suited to the bike paths of our hometown loops. With 21 vents to draw air through the helmet, we can stay cool and comfortable, and arrive to work without too much of a helmet hair effect. The vents also help prevent fogging when we're wearing our fastest sunglasses that sit close to the helmet's edge. Giro based the design of its Dime kids’ helmet on its adult helmet—the Quarter. The Dime is comprised of an ABS shell with impact-absorbing EPS foam inside. The interior padding can be adjusted to per more→fect the Dime’s fit. The Dime also has eight air vents to cool Junior’s head. The best part of the Giro Dime, however, is that it’s completely at home on four wheels or two, so the only time your little ripper will take the Dime off will be bedtime. Oh, and dinner.
