Alpha and Omega
T-Force Dark Z Alpha DDR4 is a specialized RAM for computers based on AMD Ryzen 3000 processors and X570 motherboards, developed by the Taiwanese company Team Group. You can choose from paired sets with a total volume of 16 or 32 GB with a frequency of 3200, 3600 or 4000 MHz. Considering that it is rarely possible to run the memory controller of Ryzen 3000 processors in synchronous mode at a frequency higher than 3733 MHz, the average frequency of 3600 MHz is optimal.
Knightly armor
Dark Z Alpha DDR4 has metal heatsinks, rather high ones (it should be taken into account when choosing a tower CPU cooler), lack LED backlighting and, according to Team Group engineers, imitate knightly armor. Hidden under the heatsinks are selected Hynix C-die memory chips, which, after Samsung's B-die "retirement", are considered the most suitable for AMD processors (allowing you to achieve the lowest latency).
Everything is already overclocked for you
A ready-made XMP profile of frequency settings, supply voltage, timings and sub-timings is registered by the manufacturer for Dark Z Alpha DDR4, which saves time on manual selection of all these parameters. For a frequency of 3600 MHz, the manufacturer recommends timings CL18-22-22-42 at a voltage of 1.35 V. But with at least a minimum overclocking experience and some luck, the memory can be overclocked to 3733 – 3900 MHz.
Selected quality
For those who want to save time and nerves, and also have a successful copy of the Ryzen 3000 processor and a top-end AM4 motherboard, it is wiser to immediately opt for the 4000 MHz version of the T-Force Dark Z Alpha DDR4. Moreover, it works exactly with the same timings and voltage as the younger version (CL18-22-22-42, 1.35 V). There are other noteworthy RAM models in the Team Group assortment: the low-profile Team Group Vulcan Z DDR4 and the Team Group T-Force Delta RGB with RGB backlighting.
