MSI's Katana line of gaming laptops combines solutions designed for gamers at the junction of entry-level and mid-price segments. All models of the family are based on the 11th generation of Intel Core i5 / i7 processors and are equipped with discrete RTX 3050 graphics cards from NVIDIA GeForce, which provides good computing and graphics potential. In practice, this means the ability to run various demanding games at high settings, such as Metro or PUBG, perform video editing, and other specialized tasks. Laptops MSI Katana GF66 11UC also provide out of the box from 8 to 16 GB of RAM and SSD M.2 512 GB. In addition, the Cooler Boost 5 proprietary cooling technology is implemented here with separate fans for computing and graphics engines. All laptops in the series received 15.6-inch IPS screens with decent brightness and colour quality, as well as a refresh rate increased to 144 Hz. Gamer status is reinforced by expressive red backlighting of the keyboard and the presence of hot keys. Other features of the line include an abundance of wired interfaces, including USB 3.2 gen1 and USB-C, and a gigabit LAN port complements the Wi-Fi 6 wireless module.
