MSI calls the GS65 Stealth Thin 8RE a fusion of elegance and power, and it’s one of those cases where marketers just deserve a nod of approval. It's a stylish business-class laptop with thin screen bezels, a charming gold trim around the body and keyboard, and a neat pattern hiding the speakers.

Unique Keyboard Backlighting

The keyboard backlighting of the laptop is not something that usually draws attention. But in the case of the Stealth Thin, the backlighting is one of the main visual features of the model. On this keyboard, the keys are illuminated not from below, but from within, making only the symbol highlighted on the key glow. Moreover, each key can have individual backlighting — the space bar glows blue, function keys light blue, numbers green, etc. It looks like a poster of "Blade Runner 2049" where numerous neon signs intertwine.

All this beauty did not affect the laptop's specifications. It is equipped with a powerful six-core Intel Core i7 latest generation processor (operating frequencies 2.2 - 4.1 GHz), 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market, the GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q with 8 GB of VRAM. The latter is especially interesting since for most robust laptops 8 GB of RAM is the norm. Here you have 8 GB of VRAM. The display in the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin is an IPS matrix with Full HD resolution, a high frame refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a low response time. The screen is excellent in every respect, even considering the unabashed price tag. The great picture is complemented by excellent sound: the laptop houses a high-quality sound card with a good DAC and a pair of speakers from the renowned Danish manufacturer Dynaudio. The power is only a couple of watts, but they play very cleanly and pleasantly. With all this, the MSI GS65 holds a charge for a decent 7 hours in email-browser-videos-documents mode.
