Michelin Alpin 7 is a winter non-studded tire designed for passenger cars with internal combustion engines, hybrids and electric vehicles. The model was introduced in the spring of 2024.
EverWinterGrip concept
The tire is developed using the EverWinterGrip concept, which includes a multi-layer rubber compound and a herringbone tread structure. The tread consists of narrow and long blocks that widen closer to the shoulder areas, providing excellent performance on snowy and slippery winter roads. Between the blocks there are aqua-drainage grooves for quick drying of the contact patch.
Dense lamellation
The model is a friction tire, meaning it does not have studs for anti-slip. Instead, it has dense lamellae of the tread blocks with an expanding structure of cuts in depth. This allows the tire to maintain its grip even as the tread wears out, providing reliable grip on icy surfaces.
High efficiency
The tire demonstrates low rolling resistance, which helps reduce fuel consumption, improves ride comfort and increases service life. There are special wear indicators on the contact surface of the tire, allowing you to visually monitor the condition of the tread.
