Michelin Alpin 6 205/55 R16 91H
![]() | Outdated Product A winter tyre for passenger cars that maintains confident driving performance up to the complete wear of the tread. The model uses a popular technique with a directional symmetrical structure of the tread pattern. The blocks in its central zone are arranged in a herringbone pattern. Numerous three-dimensional sipes on the tread elements contribute to enhanced traction and braking performance on packed snow and icy roads. As the blocks wear, instead of slots, large-width hidden drainage grooves appear — EverGrip technology maintains a constant negative profile area and emphasizes the effectiveness of tyres in a worn state. Michelin Alpin 6 205/55 R16 91H contains an increased proportion of silica and special plasticizers that work together to increase traction, increase fuel efficiency and...maintain tread elasticity over a wide range of outdoor temperatures. Finally, the tyre's traction in loose snow is reinforced by the ribbed surface of the edges in the shoulders. E-Catalog uses affiliate links compensated by our partners. |

I'm writing a truly honest review about these tires. Bought them a month ago after some thinking (tests, reviews, etc.). I needed a decent non-studded tire for city driving, highways, and snow. Before this, I drove on Goodyear Ice Plus for six seasons (not an ad, but the tires were the bomb for me). They were discontinued in 2014, and in 2018, production started in Poland; so, the quality is not the same. In general, about the Michelin - the only plus is the noiselessness, everything else is just one big minus. When changing tires, one tire turned out to be slightly warped (the steering pulled to the right, switched it out for another on the same rim and it stopped pulling). And the main thing - today, the first snow fell, and it was terrible. On slightly compacted snow, it constantly slips when starting and doesn't brake at all, just like a cow on ice. It kind of reminded me of KAMA all-season tires from the '90s. The conclusion is that these tires are definitely not for compacted snow or icy surfaces. And this is the more expensive version - made in Germany. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide. Best regards. Very quiet, beyond all praise It slips even on slightly packed snow. It doesn't brake AT ALL on ice. use Michelin Alpin 6 month or more |
