Square form factor
The La Crosse WS6821A colour display weather station provides a complete set of measurement functions that monitor indoor climate comfort and outdoor weather conditions. The base station received a design with a square frame of the case and a colorful LED screen, and the remote unit is located in a small rectangular case the size of a control panel. The transmitter with remote wireless sensors (up to 3 can be connected) operates within a solid radius of 90 m, which allows you to install it away from a warm house to reduce the error of street measurements. The display is divided into sectors that display indoor (0 °C ~ +50 °C) and outdoor temperature (-40 °C ~ +60 °C) and humidity (1 – 99%), alarm clock (12 h / 24h time format) and calendar (day, month, year). Interrogation of internal sensors is carried out every half a minute, and external — every 50 s.

Record Min/Max temperatures are stored in the instrument's memory and, together with the measured dew point and the comfort temperature index (heat index), are displayed in separate areas of the screen. The measurement data allows you to predict the weather, which is shown in the form of an animated picture with pictograms (5 types of images) in the largest frame of the display. Due to the fact that the device does not measure atmospheric pressure, you should not count on high prediction accuracy. The device has the possibility of short-term illumination from batteries (about 5 s) or constant illumination when powered from the mains (adapter included). In addition, the device is capable of operating on AA (LR6) backup batteries, which must be purchased separately: the base station requires 3 batteries, and the outdoor unit needs 2 batteries. Like similar devices of the brand, the device ignores the needs of Eastern European users in Cyrillic: it only supports the main European languages. The model is designed for desktop use only and is available in 2 colours of the base station frame: white (WHI) and black (BLA).
