Vacuum and wash at the same time

The robot vacuum cleaner of the Chinese brand Ecovacs can vacuum and mop the floor at the same time. For wet cleaning, a container with a volume of 240 mL is provided, one refill of which is enough for an entire apartment or house, as well as a microfibre cloth. Water is supplied evenly to avoid unnecessary streaks, you can also adjust the pressure of the water supply: weak, medium or high. The gadget, of course, will not cope with serious pollution, but it will maintain cleanliness after a general wash using cleaning products.

But the vacuum cleaner handles with garbage better, leaving behind no dust, no crumbs, no sand even on carpets. In general, it cleans even better than a conventional vacuum cleaner. The manufacturer offers two brushes to choose from: a direct suction brush, which works better if there is hair and animal hair on the floor, and a standard v-shaped brush, which is most effective on carpets. Although the hair does not wind on it much, and if it already happened, a special cleaning brush with a small blade that cuts the wound hairs and threads was carefully placed in the box. For normal cleaning, an automatic mode is provided, you can also select a specific area (room or area), and on carpets, the motor automatically increases speed and turns on the maximum suction power. The height of the carpet in this case should be less than 16 mm. Dust along the walls and in the corners is perfectly collected by two side brushes.

Navigation and control

The model uses SmartNavi 3.0 smart navigation: it easily adapts to the features of housing, fixes the layout, builds a three-dimensional map-plan of the room and plots the best route for saving energy and more efficient cleaning. Sensors protect the device from falls from stairs and collisions with furniture and other objects. At the first start, the robot will take a lot of time to “explore” an apartment or house, but in the future it will not get lost and will quickly find its base for parking.

Using the application on your smartphone, you can control your home assistant at any time from anywhere: start cleaning, adjust the route, define virtual boundaries, set the mode and set the schedule. Here you can also view the wear level of components: filters, brushes, etc. In addition, the robot understands voice commands and can speak itself, reporting on successes and failures, and in Russian. To activate support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa virtual assistants and the gadget understands your voice, you need to synchronize it with your Alexa or Google Home smart speaker app.

A 2600 mAh battery is installed inside, one charge of which is enough for 90 minutes of operation. During this time, the robot will have time to clean up to 150 square metres of the room. When the charge level is low, he will return to the base, charge and continue cleaning from where he left off.
