Model overview based on user reviews
The Cooper Weather Master S/T2 tires are praised for their excellent road holding and traction on snow, offering a reliable performance in winter conditions without the need for studs. Users appreciate the low noise level and the price-quality ratio, with many noting the tires' wear resistance and durability, even after several seasons of use. While the tires perform well on snow and ice, some users mention that braking on ice could be improved and that they can be a bit noisy at higher speeds. Despite lacking a rim protector, the tires are considered a worthy choice for the money, suitable for both city and highway driving. However, one user expressed dissatisfaction with the tires' performance on ice, comparing them unfavorably to other brands. Overall, the Cooper Weather Master S/T2 is recommended for its reliability and performance in winter conditions.

I have an American-made one. Over 2 winters, I drove about 20 thousand. I recommend it. Holds the road super well. On the truck-packed snowy rut, it doesn't just go, it whispers. In winter, maneuvered without studs without second thought. The car behaves more than predictably. To throw the car into a drift, you really have to try hard. Quality 100% pays off. I've already used it for the 2nd season. Feels like I can drive another 4 seasons. What else to say - very satisfied... Braking/acceleration on ice rated 3+. BUT!! last 2 winters showed: with good brakes, they drive with dented trunks, with bad brakes - damaged fronts. And I have excellent maneuverability and good distance. That's it :))) |
This tire is more than suitable for both city rides and country/highway trips. From personal impressions - the optimal speed is up to 140 km/h. In winter, you don't really need more. In terms of noise level, it performed very well, even compared to quiet summer tires. In other reviews, people also noted good wear resistance. 1. good traction and grip properties on loose and packed snow. Performed well on ice for non-studded 2. low noise level. 3. price-quality ratio 4. possibility of studding 5. made in the USA - The tire does not have a rim protector for the wheel disc (Rim protect). But considering the price, it's acceptable. - On dry asphalt, the braking is so-so, although quite predictable. |
Considering how much these tires cost, one can forgive the aforementioned shortcomings. Wear resistance at a high level. Studding capability. It makes noise even at not very high speeds. Also, I noted some tendency to skid, you need to be a little more careful. It doesn't like too loose snow. |
