Image-conscious ultrabooks from Asus combine a slim, lightweight, and durable body (13 mm thick, 1.5 kg weight, MIL-STD-810 protection standard) with powerful hardware, the latest features, and a top-notch OLED display. The thin-bezel 16-inch screen with 3K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate provides unparalleled image quality with infinite contrast and lightning-fast response.

At the heart of the Zenbook S 16 UM5606WA series is a 10/12-core AMD processor from the Ryzen AI series, introduced in 2024 and built on the fundamentally new Zen 5 microarchitecture. In addition to high specific power and an expanded set of cores, Ryzen AI 9 is equipped with a specialized neural unit with 50 TOPS that enhances capabilities for working with artificial intelligence and Copilot tools.

The integrated Radeon 880M/890M graphics system demonstrates exceptional performance comparable to the discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile, allowing confident work with graphic applications and even run modern games without the need for a separate graphics card. A premium audio system developed in collaboration with Harman Kardon, including six high-quality speakers, creates studio-quality surround sound. An advanced security system with a 3D facial scanner guarantees reliable protection of personal data, while support for the latest USB4 and Wi-Fi 7 standards ensures unprecedented data transfer and network connection speeds. The ergonomic touchpad and comfortable keyboard significantly simplify interaction with the device.

I don't consider this product a good choice.

For users sensitive to constant high-frequency noise, this laptop may become a major disappointment.
The laptop looks modern, light, and efficient, but the joy of the purchase disappeared after the first power-on with the power adapter and in Power Delivery mode.
When connected to a power supply or during Power Delivery mode from the monitor, the laptop emits a constant unpleasant high-frequency squeal. This is not a sound from the speakers, but a squeal from the internal components (coils), which changes depending on the processor load. Even simple page scrolling or launching an application causes a short high-frequency squeal.

This is not a defect of a single laptop—three such models were purchased for the enterprise, and all of them have buzzing: in some, it is quieter, in others, louder.

In two weeks of operation, one of the laptops froze twice and once showed the blue screen of death (BSOD). But this is more a Windows issue.

ASUS's official service, after checking, recognized that this phenomenon is called "coil whine" and stated that it is "a kind of norm." Repair of the device was refused. They responded that "fixing" the coil noise is technically impossible.
