The Asus family of 15.6-inch M6500XU laptops represents solutions from the Vivobook Pro series. It combines productive portable PCs that are suitable for both office workers and professionals who use resource-intensive, demanding software. We can recommend the models of the line primarily to designers and creators of various multimedia content. But the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED M6500XU laptops can also interest fans of games (and not only casual ones), because the top configurations are equipped with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics adapter with 6 GB of video memory “on board”, support for VR, ray tracing and AI-based optimization -algorithms.
Among the other “hardware” of the models, it is worth highlighting AMD Ryzen Phoenix (Zen 4) processors, at least 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1 TB M.2 SSDs. It also includes branded Harman Kardon stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an IceCool Plus active cooling system with two coolers, a webcam with a shutter and Full HD resolution, a fingerprint scanner in the power button, a practical ErgoSense keyboard with white backlighting that opens 180 degrees.

- Not a bad camera and microphone, especially considering the size - More than suitable for everyday use - Screen — subpar, low color coverage; sufficient for basic tasks, but even with standard profiles (e.g., saturated), the gamut appears poor, brightness is very low, and visibility is almost nonexistent outdoors, even in the shade. - Fingerprint scanner — subpar, unusable, constantly forgets. - Speakers — underwhelming, too quiet, downward-facing, hard to hear on a bed or lap, lacking in high frequencies; can be adjusted with built-in Dolby but it’s not impressive. - Battery lasts 2-3 hours, doesn't supply power as a power bank when off. - One Type-C port is insufficient. - Developed an issue where closing the lid turns the screen white, had to disassemble and adjust the cable due to pressure. - After a month, hinge mounts started cracking; had to disassemble and epoxy them; official service is only in Kyiv and the service isn't impressive; didn’t want to send it (the company itself engages in subpar practices, see several hour-long videos on Gamer Nexus channel). - Graphics card 4050 has a reduced bus, 6GB of video memory is catastrophically low, especially considering I bought it for 45555. - MyAsus app is odd and it's unclear what they're doing. - Sometimes when coming out of hibernation the screen won't turn back on (hello, AMD). - 16GB of RAM is very little for "Pro" work; my AE lags to the maximum and the CPU and GPU are essentially idle. After buying a laptop, an error appeared during the installation of Windows. We contacted the service center. After diagnostics, it turned out that a part needed to be replaced, which is not in stock. It's unclear how soon it will be available in Ukraine. A new laptop, unused, and not a cheap model.
