In particular, it is equipped with socket AM4, which can accommodate most AMD Ryzen processors released between 2017 and 2022 (Vermeer, Cezanne, Renoir, Matisse, Picasso, Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge and Pinnacle Ridge families).
And instead of fast but still expensive DDR5 RAM, it uses old-school DDR4 DIMM slots. At the same time, the maximum frequency of memory modules can reach 4866 MHz, which is a serious result even compared to DDR5. Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS WIFI II has a reinforced 15-phase processor power supply system, which provides impeccable stability in normal mode and during overclocking.
Additional heatsinks cool power elements, which is a manifestation of a serious approach to circuit design and cooling. Thanks to the reinforced PCI-E x16 connector, the board is perfect for use with massive video cards that have multi-slot cooling systems. By the way, both M.2 slots are covered with heatsinks that are useful for cooling hot NVMe SSDs without their own cooling. To handle heavy network traffic, Intel's 2.5 Gigabit LAN controller with Wi-Fi 6 is integrated. In addition, the board has 3 additional connectors for connecting RGB and ARGB tapes, as well as one connector for a water pump.
