PP filament cartridge

— cartridges equipped with a filter element in the form of a polypropylene filament wound in a special way on the base. Such a filament retains mainly mechanical impurities, in this it is similar to "ordinary" polypropylene filters. The difference lies in the fact that the contaminants accumulated in the filament do not reduce its throughput — that is, both a clean and a clogged filter pass water at approximately the same speed (whereas when a traditional PP filter is clogged, the pressure decreases until the water is completely blocked). On the one hand, this is an advantage: the condition of the filter does not affect the pressure at the outlet. On the other hand, as it gets dirty, the efficiency of such a cartridge drops more and more. Plus monitoring its condition is difficult: it is impossible to determine by the pressure of the water whether a lot of contaminants have accumulated in the filter.
