Asus Prime series products have always evoked in us associations with affordable and reliable office motherboards. However, in recent years, the Taiwanese brand has been actively experimenting with forms, trying to find a new voice for the series. As a result of these searches, quite expensive and sophisticated Prime power supplies were born, as well as neat and compact Mini Tower cases, which, according to the brand’s idea, are equally suitable for gaming PCs and compact workstations.

Most often found in the Prime range are low-profile, spacious cubes in the Cube Case format. Despite their compact dimensions, all representatives of this series support the installation of modern components and, if necessary, are ready to organize quite serious case cooling. Many models already have a pre-installed case fan, plus another 4 - 5 slots for additional coolers and several pads for water pumps. In general, installation restrictions here are minimal, which is good news.

Among all the Prime chassis, the most popular is the Prime AP201 model and its modification with the TG prefix. Both cases are mid-level, supporting the installation of mini-ITX motherboards and video cards up to 340 cm long. Despite their dimensions, both cases support water cooling and large air coolers. The key to good capacity is the fact that the power supply can be hidden not from below or from above, but right behind the front pillar right next to the storage pockets. The key difference between the AP201 and AP201 TG is the design: the former has mesh-like side walls and the front panel, through which air flows better, while the Prime TG has a right-hand side made of transparent glass.
