Reincarnation of TUF series laptops

Asus hasn't updated the design of its TUF laptops for a long time, which is why we often confused them with Acer Nitro laptops. In 2021, the long-awaited update arrived in the form of TUF Dash laptops, in which almost everything has become a little better. For starters, this is one of the rare models with an NVIDIA Ampere generation graphics card (note: RTX 3060 is in this build) that is not exorbitantly priced. Compare that to the price of a desktop RTX 3060.

High quality materials and solid build

Compared to its predecessor, the quality of materials and assembly has significantly increased, all parts fit snugly together, and the laptop itself feels more pleasant in the hands. The thickness of the case has decreased (now 19.9 mm), and the weight has dropped to 2 kg. And outwardly, the new TUF Dash looks more serious and interesting. It can be seen that this time Asus got confused with the design. Many reviewers agree that the chassis of the laptop feels like it was borrowed from the more serious Asus ROG Zephyrus laptops.

144Hz display

Worked out everything else. Even in the basic configuration of TUF Dash there is an intelligent IPS display with the obligatory 144 Hz. Wi-Fi 6, USB 4 and Thunderbolt protocol support have been added to the laptop equipment, and fast charging has become a little faster. Of course, against the backdrop of all the improvements, the price has also increased. However, $300 – $400 on top for such a boost on all fronts is, in our opinion, not so much. Moreover, the hardware in it is quite serious (RTX 3060 + Core i7 + 16 GB of RAM with a frequency of 3200 MHz), so it will not have problems with next-gen games in the future.
